• Taking inland round via Karragullen, Brookton, Pingelly, Narrogin, Wagin, Katanning. There was very little traffic.
  • Stopped in Karragullen to get some fresh fruit (after driving past, turned back). Glad we did as this was on the only roadside fresh fruit stop we found and despite getting quite a lot of fruit, we got through it.
  • Stopped briefly in Brookton to use toilets and went to small playground (very basic)
  • Pingelly had very little, although was an ok playground. Bakery literally just had 1 pie and 1 sausage roll or packed lollies as the only products they had on display (at 12:30pm)!
  • Stopped in Narrogin, found a playground. Ethan slept on the way between Pingelly and Narrogin. Makayla went on the playground while Ethan selpt.
  • At Wagin saw the Giant Ram, played briefly on the playground. Daddy had a quick rest in the car.
  • Made trip to Katanning to the all ages playground. About half the equipment is out of commission, but there was still adequate options and the kids had heaps on fun on the large bumpy slide going may times. Daddy went on the large swing, all went on the riding horse, cage spinner, sea saw and large spiral side (which was quite uncomfortable catching all the corners of the central post on the way down).
  • Drove last 2 hours directly to accommodation - Karrak reach retreat.
  • Owner very friendly and welcomed us.
  • Kids played well, cooked dinner and ate in.
