• Woke to kids laughing and playing, for ages having lots of fun mucking around together.
  • Daddy and kids went for walk through the larger Chestnut farm area which is even more spectacular than the first with a large area blanketed in trees. Ran around in the trees for a bit, found some sheep in amongst the trees.
  • Planned to drive the Nannup, stop over at a café for morning tea, then continue to Bridgetown. However ended up spending the day in Nannup.
  • First stop was th Blackwood café which was a lovely setting outdoors with complete cover from vines and trees.
  • Walked through town and visited the visitor centre / local produced products shop (Taste if Nannup).
  • Played a round if mini golf, there was some very light raid briefly and had the place to ourselves for the most time. Ethan loves counting out his hits and very excited regardless of the number of shots. Ethan managed to inadvertently hit ball out and back into the end section on one of the harder rounds where he beat us all by a lot. Makayla also had some amazing rounds getting hole in one a few times.
  • Walked back through town and went to anther café, Nannup Bridge Café, for lunch Have a great outdoor decked area looking out into the bush. Food was excellent and played a provided rope game while we waited. Kids enjoyed dancing on the deck afterward watching their reflection in the glass.
  • Visited some of the local product shops (soaps and place with all sorts of unusual items).
  • Drove out to a cheese place (Cambray Cheese) tried some cheeses and purchased a soft sheep cheese. Owner was very chatty and had a chat with him for a while and looked through some a photo gallery they have setup from the early 1900's.
  • Drove back to accommodation, made a platter of our cheeses and nuts, avocados etc…, then played with the kite for quite a while as very breezy. Kids had a lot of fun flying and chasing the kite.
  • Then had a got flying the drones. Lost a propeller on the smaller one. First time trying the larger drone and bit easier to fly. Kids enjoyed collecting them and getting it flying.
  • As outside flying the drone heard a loud cracking and crashing sound as a nearby tree dropped 3 large branches across the road, advised the owners who had not hear it and hoped with the clean-up. The kids had a lot of fun doing this and the owners daughter and granddaughter were there also so had lots of fun working together to tidy up the tree. Was given another Chestnut Ale as a thank you for assisting.
