• Packed accommodation with the Kids packing and tidying their room.
  • Headed off along the cost with the first stop at the Valley of the Giants. Stopped at a roadside stall to get some fresh fruit and veggie on the way. Found the largest zucchini we have ever seen! Had to buy it for $1.
  • Mummy tried the walk, managed the first section, but decided to go back thereafter. Daddy and the kids continued through the walk. Great view of the scale of the trees. Finishing the tree top walk, also completed the ground level walk. Got some cookies at the entry then kept going.
  • Shortly came to the town of Nornalup, which is tiny, but had a quaint bar open for lunch (Nornabar). Stopped here. Glad we did, while there was a bit of a wait for the food (they forewarned us) it was a lovely quaint setting, good food and very pleasant.
  • Continued on to Manjimup, kids sleeping some of the way (Ethan most, Makayla only briefly). Spectacular drive through the forest.
  • In Manjimup went to the adventure playground. This is very well done with a HUGE slide which was much enjoyed, as well as a well setup playground with flying fox and custom playground areas. Glad we stopped, the kids very much enjoyed the slide. However Manjimup was much hotter than where we had come from and this was quite a shock!
  • Did some grocery shopping, then continued to next accommodation. Had planned to stop of Fonty's pool, however was getting too late (will come back in the next few days).
  • Following the GPS got quite lost in the forest. On calling accommodation advised that there is an issue for GPS locating them and got correct directions. However was a pleasant detour and say emu's, Kangaroos and rabbits on the detour (which we drove twice as it was the completely wrong way).
  • Greeted by the owners on arriving and gives some history of the place. It is very out of the way but spectacular setting. Very old house (> 100 years) with a lot of charm. The kids a loving the gardens, decking, up-stairs, etc… running around the gardens finding things and very very excited!
